By order of ALLIANCE-NL this concept is developed for the World Horticultural Expo 2011 in Xi’An where the Netherlands is represented by a Dutch garden and two pavilions. The assignment was to let the visitors get acquainted with the Dutch water management and the ways the Dutchmen fight against the water.
This concept offers especially to the young visitors a demonstration of the Dutch ‘Polder’. A typical Dutch technology that regulates the ever inclining water level and the land below NAP. Through play, discovery and do-it-yourself, the visitor finds out how the Polder technology works and is realized.
